Dana Backes accepted a contract with the Gregory Hancock Dance Theater in Indiana. She is a full company member, a paid professional, in a contemporary ballet company. In their upcoming fall performance she dances in most of the pieces, as well as given a solo role. She teaches when asked to, is working with dancers of several ages to prepare them for Nutcracker, and has helped with other community outreach projects. She also works a second job in addition to her obligations with the company.
